Am I eligible for Motability?

The Motability Scheme is a UK-registered charity that enables those in receipt of the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement to purchase a new vehicle. Parents can apply on behalf of a child who is in receipt of the benefit, while those unable to drive can nominate up to two drivers.

Contract Hire is an agreement of three years which has a 60,000 mileage allowance. Despite this limitation, it includes a number of benefits. Road tax, insurance, aftersales services and breakdown cover are all included in the agreement, making it the most popular option among Motability customers. Hire Purchase, on the other hand, does not feature these additional benefits, but means you purchase the vehicle outright and can modify it according to your needs.
