In 1929 a young man by the name of Joseph Toomey, in true entrepreneurial spirit, opened a new business, Laindon Accumulators, in Laindon, Essex, selling motor cycles.  Thus was born the Company which is so well known in Essex, as "Toomeys".

Through the years "Toomeys" continued to expand it's business by aquiring various different franchises such as the Bedford commercial vehicle franchise.

In 1986 "Toomeys" started development of a fully modern, purpose built headquarters for the Laindon Holdings Group.

On the 2^nd October 2000 the Toomey Group acquired Warwick Wright Brentwood and the new Company Toomey Pershow (Brentwood) Ltd was born, adding the Peugeot franchise to the Group's portfolio.

In September 2002 George Martin Limited, our building company, completed the turnkey project of Toomey Peugeot Basildon, a 1,400 square metres building oozing new technology and current building techniques.  Toomey Pershow Ltd opened its doors to the public during this month, enhancing both the Group and Peugeot product.

To this date the Toomey Motor Group continues to expand its horizons by making more dealerships available with more stock to suit the needs of the ever growing public whilst maintaining a high quality standard that you have come to expect from the Toomey Motor Group.
